
This is our daughter, Raja.
And I’ve decided she’s my new role model.
Whenever I feel stressed, I’m going to pause and ask, “What would Raja do?”
The answer is usually one of three options:
1. Take Time for a Treat. She loves to eat, just like me! She’s addicted to Temptations, of any flavor and variety. She knows she deserves a snack. So why don’t I?
2. Take a Bath. While Raj chooses to bathe pretty much anytime, anywhere, she always seems happy afterward. Maybe taking a soak of my own will do the trick to soothe a troubled mind.
3. Take a Nap. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Raja is The Queen of Cozy. And she might be on to something with those catnaps. Clear the mind, yo.
So the next time I catch even five minutes of the news and therefore want to move to Finland?
What would Raja do?
When I’m over-analyzing everything and feel my heart start racing inside my chest?
What would Raja do?
When I look at my To-Do List and feel like the walls are closing in?
What would Raja do?
Because it’s just another day, love.
So slow down, take a breather, and realize that now is all we have.
