Happy October, lovelies!

It’s my favorite month: Pumpkins, a kaleidoscope of fall foliage. . . and don’t even get me started on the candy!

Anyway, today is as good a day as any to list a few things I think are pretty neat.

Snap’s Current Little Daily Treasures:

-Blueberry Muffins. Wait, what? Didn’t you just say it’s pumpkin season? Yes, dear. I did. But lately I’ve been loving the life out of a fresh blueberry muffin and small accompanying glass o’ milk.

-Our Family Library. While it may not be as grand as Belle’s in Beauty and the Beast, it’s pretty awesome. Our shelves probably hold close to 300 or so selections. It brings me great joy to mosey over and see where my next literary journey may lead.

-Back-to-School Sneakers. I know, I know. I’m not a kid anymore. I’m the teacher, not the student. But hey: don’t I deserve comfort? I love sneakers, yo. Comfort + style = happiness.

-Not Wearing Makeup. While I’ve definitely gotten lazy over the past year or two–what with being laid off and such–I made the conscious decision to cut out makeup completely during my pregnancy. One less thing to worry about. And you know what? I think my natural face looks more than fine.

-Being a Curly Girl. If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me if I straighten my hair or wish I had straight hair, I’d. . . probably be able to buy a generous treat at Starbucks. I like my curls. Love ’em, in fact. They do take about three hours to dry completely, so I often look like a little sewer rat in the mornings, but, it’s worth it to celebrate my natural mane.

And there we have it!

Focus on those little, lovely treasures.

. . .

What are some of your favorite things as of late, Dear Reader?

  4. I know this post is really old, but I have really fallen in love with this blog and I hope my comment is still validπŸ˜‚

First off, that is a great picture. That is a vision with beauty beyond words.

I think my one favourite thing recently is reading. I suddenly got really into reading. Maybe it’s because of how much I enjoyed On writing by Stephen King.

  5. Never too late! Thanks so much for reading, my friend, and for all of your thoughtful comments. I reread this old post and found a typo (gasp!) so I shall correct it promptly. Thanks again! πŸ’
