Hello, Dear Reader.

It’s hard to believe it’s been an entire year of Snippets of SnapDragon!

But then again, maybe it’s not that hard to believe.

Because 2019 was a long and difficult road for yours truly.

It was filled with loss, restlessness, startling revelations, and medical mishaps.

But it was also a year filled with love. It was a year of fiction, fresh starts, pregnancy, and the (unexpected!) arrival of our beautiful son.

So, it’s all good.

Another 365 days for the books.

I started this blog on a rainy January day, because, well. . . I’m a writer.

Because I was waiting for my new job to begin and had quite a bit of time on my hands.

Because I always wanted to be a blogger, and I figured what the hell. No one’s going to do it for me. May as well give it a go.

What do I have to lose?

So, on this anniversary, I see that what started out as a card catalog of my interests—-body products! books! craft beer! animals!—-has pretty much defaulted to what I do best: two-bit musings.

This is a strange and beautiful world, and I mean to capture it.

I’m here to taste the chocolates, dance to the music, and celebrate all that I have.

So, my lovelies, stay tuned if you wish.

Snap is ready for another year.
