Stream of (Sub)Consciousness. . . ?

Sometimes I feel like absolute shit: like an old cassette tape that’s come unwound; an unknown funk beneath my fingernails; hollow bones that ache with every breath.

Sometimes I feel like the flabbiest failure/

a halfwit/

an empty fish tank.

Start over, flip back, march on, say the nonsense one more time, again.

On and on and on.

Shh. Quiet now, and close your eyes.

Tomorrow will be new.

All we can do is keep moving forward and look to see what we can do better without pushing so hard we go nuts though.

  6. Thank you for this. In my experience life pulses in and out of feelings and states of being. One minute or day this, the next that. I love the knowing of way of life’s constant movement and change. This was well said and expressed.
