(Not) Just Another Morning.

Because, I mean, what day is it?

All right! Here we go. Carpe diem, yo.

1. I successfully changed out of my sweatpants, and into an outfit that passes as socially-acceptable.

2. I placed my beautiful rings on my fingers, for what feels like the first time in months.

3. I inevitably spilled my delicious pumpkin iced coffee, directly on top of my iPhone, of course.

Just. Another. Day.

. . .

Your girl Snap has been in a bit of a fog-bog/mind-quandary thing.

what are you doing-what have you accomplished-what needs to be done?

you cause problems-you have an attitude-you’re an utter disappointment.

you could have been ______.

But, you know? I’m metaphorically crumpling those thoughts into a huge paper ball, and throwing it into the campfire.

To which I will promptly roast marshmallows and talk about the genius of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

. . .

I am smart.

I am kind.

I am worthy of love.

And so are you, my Dear Reader.

So are you.

  1. We need more of this. All of us. Ugh. I force myself to shower and style my hair, put on eyeliner and earrings for godsake, just to go out for a walk with the dog. πŸ™‚

Wishing you a wonderful, sunny, happy weekend from Toronto.

  3. Thank you.
Also, the fact that you’re reaching out to share your rough days to help others facing the same shows how good a person you are and will always be an accomplishment ( how often do we forget our little kindnesses when tallying what we’ve done? )

    2. Thank you so much! What a kind thing to say. I do think it’s important to remember that we’re all human. We all have bad days (or weeks, or months!) and that doesn’t in any way take away our worth. Be well, my friend! πŸ•Š

  7. I’m on Day 17 living Pumpkin Spice-free. That’ll change this weekend. Do you ever take a bad Selfie?

      1. Its like this, Snap: About once a year, my arms are twisted to sip a crafty Pumpkin Ale. I wince when I drink it. Don’t know why because my appreciation of Pumpkins – pepitas, rustic orange, scent, Jack-O-Lanterns … – is nearly illegal (in a good way). Perhaps, a Pumpkin Spice Donut will help. πŸ™‚
