Right in the Face.

Just gotta vent.

. . .

I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent person.

I read.

I question.

I have two advanced degrees.

I am, in my heart of hearts, a teacher.

So it pisses me off when I’m treated like a child.

Like a nuisance.

Like an insubordinate know-it-all, because I ask common-sense questions.

Just. Stop.

Don’t look for loop holes in the conversation, or twist my words around to make me seem foolish.

Just give it to me straight.

And I vow to always give it straight to you.

  1. It’s difficult for me, too, not to get defensive when I’m tested like I’m stupid , particularly by those less educated but am trying.

  4. Over the years I have learned to give a certain look to people that think I don’t have a brain cell 🧠 in my head. As you get older or should I say age gracefully, then people think “don’t pay attention to what she is saying, she’s at that age.
I also learned when someone says it can’t be done. I say “why not?”
Just to let you know I have at least ten (10) brain cells in my ……..hmmm thinking ….I got it “head 😉”
Thank you for listening to this old gal! 🍨
