SnapDragon’s Vision Board for the Year Ahead.
. . .
(Points finger emphatically into the air)
For this shall be the greatest year the world has ever known!
(Or, you know. Just let it just be good. Or decent. Right?)
Snap’s New “Rules” for a New Year:
- Bloom Where You’re Planted. As you probably know, I may be moving (far, far away). You may also know that this prospect has been swiveling back and forth as of late. We’re hoping to make the numbers work. But there’s a chance that I may be staying right here in southeastern Pennsylvania, and I need to remember there are many bright spots in this life I lead. So if I stay or if I go (starts bopping her head in time with the song) I’m determined to make a new chapter for myself. A new version of the person I am is about to emerge.
- I Lost Count. I’ve mentioned this before, but I hate tracking things. I’m so sick of feeling pressure to prove my worth in nearly everything I do. I’m just going to write when I feel like it, read whatever I want (and even give up halfway through a book—(gasp!)) and give myself the freedom to experience a moment without snapping the perfect picture. I. Have. Nothing. To. Prove.
- Wet Seal. (Do you remember that store? Back when there were actual malls in the US? Anyway, this is not a reference to that.) But I need more water. More drinking water, yes, but just more of being near water. Oceans. Streams. Little trickling fountains. I want to savor the sense of fulfillment it brings: the sense of peace, no matter how small.
And sending peace to all of you.
