RV Adventure: Stops 4 & 5!

Hello, Dear Friends.

And greetings from one of my favorite states: Beautiful Colorado!

We’ve been here for about four days, after a brief but lovely visit in Kansas.

Our family lives in both of these locales, and we’re all currently reunited here in our RVs.

Baby Snap—I really should change his nickname to Toddler Snap—is loving every minute of it.

The Great Outdoors! New houses to explore! Playgrounds! Dirt!

But most of all, it’s such a treat (for all of us) to be around family.

To just completely and totally chill out.

To roast weenies on the campfire (while I eat avocado and cucumber sushi) and share stories from visits past.

To catch up. To listen.

To remember all we have in common.

Because all we have is now. And I aim to enjoy it.

More soon!

Oh!

What a sweet, charming spot for our first night on the road, Dear Reader.

Even though it was hotter than blue blazes, as my mom would say, we had so much fun strolling along this family-run farm and greenhouse.

As RVers, we’re part of something called Harvest Hosts. Basically, for about $60 a year, you can camp at a zillion farm-to-table kinda places all across The US of A. I’m talking breweries, wineries, farms, and the like.

So, McDonald’s Greenhouse was our first!

It was a solid 90 degrees outside, so we had the sights to ourselves. Baby Snap and I bounced on a giant blowup thing for a few minutes, walked through a sandpit, and ran around in the grass like only kids can.

(We then guzzled down water in the shade.)

But mostly, we visited with the sweet animals!

Look at these beauties!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a turkey this close up before. The colors of this big boy’s skin were quite lovely: an indigo and violet I’ve never seen in nature!

As you can see, there were also a handful of goats! We also spotted a calf, and I think one sheep.

So basically, it was SnapDragon Heaven.

Innocent Animal Fix satisfied!

And, as I’ve told my Sweet Husband about 49 times, this might just be the coolest thing we’ve ever done.

(And we’ve done a lot of cool shit.)

And now we’ve got a Big-Ass Class A!

It’s cozy. It’s comfy. And it’s a brilliant solution to traveling with an infant during a pandemic! (Because sadly, that is a thing now. Come on, vaccine.)

Also, I feel like a doucher for not sticking to my daily posts. It bothers me more than it probably should.

But just know that if I’m absent from The Blogosphere for a few, it means that I’m strolling with Baby Snap through a State Park, or enjoying the comfort of our own personal loo at 65 mph.

This is dope, yo.

Talk soon, Dear Reader.
