Hi! I’m feeling sort of messy and preoccupied and lazy and a few other things I can’t quite put into words. But I’m overdue for a post, and therefore berating myself in completely typical and unnecessary fashion.

Brain Dump:

Thankful. I am thankful for so many things. Like our beautifully eclectic house, with all of the blooming plants in our yard and deck. I’m thankful for technology. I’m thankful for owning multiple pairs of sunglasses. I’m also thankful for sleep. Any and all winks of it are fully welcomed.

Change. It’s the only thing that’s constant, right? I’m entering into another time of transition, what with my formal job coming to a close. And really: it’s okay. There is one rock-solid area of my life, and that’s my family. Sweet Husband and Baby Snap, yo. We can get through anything.

Humdrum Heaven. I will always choose being bored over being overwhelmed. (And to be fair, I’m not often bored. There is always something to read, watch, or listen to.) Anyway, I very much value simplicity, and I think I’ve found it. I’m greeting each day with a wish for health, curiosity, and maybe a few laughs. It’s okay to be a homebody. In fact, it’s glorious.
